If you have been thinking about joining a choir come along to these free Choral workshops and participate in some fun, stimulating, informative evenings exploring your singing voice and choral singing through games, exercises and a range of classical and contemporary choral music. CELEBRATION CONCERT
September 26th NCMA 7.30pm
This special concert marks 125 years since the opening of the auditorium at the Nelson Centre of Musical Arts, celebrating the music that continues to fill the building today.
The programme brings together some of the region’s leading ensembles and musicians, including performers from the Nelson Civic Choir, Nelson Symphony Orchestra, Chroma Choir, Nelson Youth Choir and NCMA’s youth string ensemble Schola Musica. Alongside these larger groups, the evening will also feature chamber performances from musicians who regularly rehearse and perform at the centre.

Nelson Cathedral provides the perfect setting for a concert of sublime and moving seasonal music presented by the Nelson Civic Choir. Sit back and enjoy the sights and sounds of this magnificent building filled with festive trees and uplifting choral sounds.
